Chris Hale discovered the opportunities the solar industry had to offer at The Center for Sustainable Energy at Bronx Community College. He quickly quit his job and started SunBlue Energy in June 2009. Chris is a NABCEP-certified installer who thrives on the challenges of the business of solar. Westchester is Chris’ home, and he is proud to work with such a strong team of conscientious, hardworking and dedicated local solar professionals. NABCEP Entry-Level Photovoltaics Certificate
Laura Waldman got serious about solar in the fall of 2013. She met the SunBlue team in an advanced photovoltaics class at SUNY Ulster and was impressed by their expertise, camaraderie, and commitment to staff development. Her previous jobs include managing farmers markets throughout New York City, cofacilitating a creative writing workshop at a veterans’ nursing home, and running Skee-Ball derbies at street fairs and carnivals. One of her favorite parts of coordinating solar installations is getting to know SunBlue’s customers.

Bill Waldman is a solar installer who received his NABCEP certification at Bronx Community College. He majored in fine arts at the University of Colorado at Boulder. From 2003 to 2008 he was a part of the fabrication crew at the Guggenheim Museum of Art, helping to build pliths and pedestals for new exhibitions. A proud father of three, since 2006 he has been living in both Tarrytown, New York, and San Paolo, Brazil, where he works as an environmentalist at Instituto de Consciência Ambiental reforesting the Mata Atlantica, a coastal forest where the organization has planted 126,000 of 435 types of native trees, through projects of the World Harmony Foundation.

Jonathan Bonhomme joined the SunBlue team as a PV installer before moving into solar sales. His enthusiasm for and knowledge of solar energy supports SunBlue’s mission to educate homeowners and businesses about everything from saving money with solar to types of solar panels. Westchester, NY solar projects are a passion of Jonathan’s, along with playing baseball, traveling, and volunteering for the Bronx River Alliance.
Richez L. Dyer
Richez L. Dyer was a financial associate at Group M before joining the SunBlue team as the Project Coordinator. She ensures that projects run smoothly from start to finish, with a hands-on approach. Her greatest satisfaction comes from helping others and spending time with her family. Alexandra E. Reilly
Business Development Coordinator
Alexandra E. Reilly has joined our team with a passion and vision to expand the SunBlue brand. Alexandra previously worked as a project coordinator for an array of local construction and solar installation companies. Previously, she pursued a culinary arts degree, and was actively involved in the American Culinary Association. Growing up in a family that owned their own construction, car dealership, and real estate investment businesses, Alexandra has had steady hands-on experience with direct sales and building professional relationships. Keith Sebastian is a NABCEP-certified professional installer, and has worked in solar since 2009. With 15 years’ experience in construction, Keith is an expert craftsman whose career in construction began in high school in his family’s contracting business. He later earned his certification in computer technical support and worked in residential and commercial general contracting, in all areas of new construction and renovations. As a project manager, he worked with subcontractors and homeowners on sales and design. Keith obtained RCS and ICS Building Inspector certificates in the Uniform Construction Code Program at Bergen County Community College, totaling more than 165 hours in the classroom. He is always eager to learn and strives to ensure that clients are happy with his work.

Jasmin Gonzales is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in accounting and international business at SUNY Empire State College. She has been a resident of Sleepy Hollow, NY, for nineteen years, since moving here from the Dominican Republic at age five. A single mother of one princess, Jasmin also owns an online jewelry business, Viva Le Tutu, which she operates when she’s not helping customers enjoy the benefits of solar energy.

Ali Mackay is a recent Bates College graduate who has returned to SunBlue full-time after interning with us last summer. Her passion for and background in physics and math allows her to thrive as our solar engineering coordinator. Eager to become a solar expert, Ali is already on track to become NABCEP Entry Level PV Certified this fall. In his work at ConEdison, Mike Russo was involved in research and development, emergency response, and sub-station management. He taught classes on how to use equipment responsible for vibration analysis on rotating machines such as motors, pumps and fans; rigging and scaffolding; lead and asbestos removal; and safety. For the past twenty years, he has also done residential and commercial electrical work. Mike puts his expertise to use at SunBlue installing and wiring the electrical components associated with solar installation. He enjoys the unique challenges that solar electric installation provides, and providing customers with clean, renewable energy. When he is not working, Mike is an avid bass player.
Evan Fernandez loves climbing on roofs. He made the move from roofing to solar installation because he believes in strengthening New York’s grid with renewable energy. Prior to roofing, Evan was a day trader.
Adam is a Westchester native recently returning from earning a BA in fine arts from the University of Memphis in Tennessee. He has long been interested in the benefits solar energy can provide his community. He received photovoltaic system and NABCEP Entry-Level Certification from Bronx Community College.
